Bowling Game Analysis and Post-Game Review

Spark Journal uses post analysis to help bowlers review the whole set after the final frame. You can also open the live demo block to click through the same review surface with sample bowling data, including games, balls, notes, frame results, scoreboard photos, oil patterns, and the first layer of SJ AI.

Try the Live Bowling Review Demo

The Spark Journal live demo opens a static bowling block so visitors can explore the review surface without signing in. It is designed to show how a completed set can be studied after the games are over.

In the demo, bowlers can click through the block review view, compare games, inspect ball choices, read lane notes, and see how post-game analysis connects the details that usually get lost after league or tournament play.

Open the demo at /demo/block-review to see the same PlayGameView review surface used for student and coach review.

Review the Set Where There Is Room to Think

The phone is useful for fast capture at the lanes. The Mac gives each game room to breathe, making it easier to compare pairs, scores, ball choices, lane notes, and the way the block changed over time.

Post analysis is slower on purpose. This is where a bowler can look back, compare choices, and decide what should be tested differently next time.

Scoreboard Photos Explain the Field

A scoreboard photo is not just a receipt. It shows how a bowler competed against the other bowlers on the pair and in the room. A low score might be strong if the whole field struggled, while a good score might only be average if the pair was easy.

Spark Journal keeps that competitive context close to the game, because bowling performance is not only measured against personal average. It is also measured against the room, the pair, and the condition in front of everyone.

Oil Pattern, Ball, and Frame Review

Oil pattern review helps connect the pattern sheet to what actually happened in real play. Bowlers can compare the intended shape, length, volume, and lane oil layout against ball reaction after transition and traffic changed the lane.

Ball review shows which ball was used, how it reacted, and what notes explain the decision. Frame review slows one shot down to the balls used, result, motion path, questions, and reflection notes that turn a frame into something useful to remember.

AI-Assisted Bowling Game Analysis

Analyze Game is where Spark Journal AI enters the review. It starts from recorded evidence such as frames, leaves, balls, misses, lane notes, and handedness.

The goal is not hype. The goal is to surface the concern, pattern, or decision point a bowler may have missed, including opens, misses, pocket hits, makeables, transition, or a choice that deserves another look.

Phone, Tablet, and Mac Review

Spark Journal can still do post analysis on the phone. The Mac is recommended because it gives the review more room, but the same bowling history can be reviewed on the device a bowler has available.

On a phone, deeper frame review uses tabs and horizontal navigation because there is more detail than one narrow screen can show at once. Tablets provide more breathing room, while wide Mac review remains best for side-by-side comparison.
